The Board of the Dutch Dairy Association (NZO) has appointed Joep Rats director. At this moment, Rats (47) is a member of the Board of Bouwend Nederland. In the branch organisation for the construction and infrastructure sector he is responsible for, among other things, policy and association affairs.
Hein Schumacher, chairman of the Dutch Dairy Association, is pleased with the appointment of Rats. “Joep brings along a wealth of experience in lobbying. Therefore, I am convinced that he will help us to further strengthen the position of the Dutch dairy industry.”
Rats studied general economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and followed management trainings in the UK and the US. He has built up his career in lobbying and organisational development in the Dutch industry by holding various positions at MKB-Nederland, VNO-NCW and Bouwend Nederland. “I would like to use my experience to address the challenges the dairy sector is faced with, together with the organisation and its members”, says Joep Rats. He will commence his work for the Dutch Dairy Association on 1 June.
