The Board of the Dutch Dairy Association (NZO) has appointed Oscar Meuffels director. He will succeed Tjeerd de Groot, who joined the Dutch Lower Chamber in March this year.
Oscar Meuffels (45) has worked as Manager Public Affairs at the Dutch Dairy Association since 2011. Previous to this, he held various positions at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation, including that of Counsellor for Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality in Zagreb and Belgrade. He also worked at the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the European Union. Meuffels has been Deputy Director of the Dutch Dairy Association since March.
Roelof Joosten, Chairman of the Dutch Dairy Association is pleased with the appointment: ‘We are glad that with Oscar Meuffels we have been able to appoint a director coming from our own organisation. Therefore I am truly convinced that the representation of the interests of the Dutch dairy industry will be continued in a successful way.’
