Last year, we organised the great milk moustaches contest for teachers on World School Milk Day. The teacher with the most beautiful milk moustache could win an excursion to the Open Air Museum in Arnhem for his/her class.
Today, on World Milk Day, the group of master Pip of primary school Talent Hoorn visits the museum.
On the initiative of the Food and Agriculture Organisation, World Milk Day has been celebrated on 1 June since the year 2001. On that day, attention is paid to the importance of milk as a component of a healthy diet in more than 80 countries and we globally celebrate the existence of the dairy sector.
Therefore, the winning class took a look in the historic Freia milk plant. Of course, delicious dairy was tasted too! It was a fun and educational day for the pupils of our winner.
