Dairy export to Germany considerably increased

The Dutch dairy export to Germany considerably increased in the past year. The preliminary figures from chain organisation ZuivelNL show an increase of over 6 percent to 1.8 billion euro. More than 1 billion of this amount resulted from the export of cheese. With respect to cheese, Germany is the most important business partner with an interest of one third of the total export value.

The growth of the export of Dutch dairy products to Germany is above average compared to other agricultural products. The figures revealed today by the Ministry of Economic Affairs on the occasion of the opening of the Grüne Woche in Berlin show that the increase of the total Dutch agricultural and food sectors to Germany was more than 4 percent higher than it was last year.
